Peacock Noble - Student Project

This character design was part of a student project. We needed to do a anthropomorphised animal, and I wanted to do a peacock character both figuratively and literaly. What best to make a it a noble who thrive on appareances and reputation ? That is how I made Leonard III Beaubec de Marles, a pretentious peacock that isn't as strong anb mighty as he looks. Since then I found sometimes other birds that could make incredible characters in that sort of setting. It was really a fun project and working with watercolour was both hard and interesting.
